El  CNR2 de Kipp & Zonen mide radiación neta en onda corta y onda larga y dispone de salidas separadas para cada una de estos tipos de radiación.

The newest addition to our product line is the Kipp & Zonen CNR 2 Net Radiometer. This model includes two shortwave and two longwave sensors, which are combined to provide separate outputs for net shortwave and net longwave radiation.

The use of four sensors solves the problem of accurately measuring short- and longwave radiation with a single instrument. The CNR 2 has similar accuracy to the Kipp & Zonen CNR 1 and is half the cost. The compact, rugged, and lightweight design facilitates mounting.

Cuadro de texto:   FACTOR DE CONVERSION   The CNR 2 has two outputs which each use a custom multiplier or conversion factor. To convert the mV signals from the sensor to net short and net longwave radiation, multiply the mV output by the appropriate multiplier. This yields radiation in W m-2. Example multipliers are used at right (65 and 83 W m-2 / mV). Typically, the longwave output ranges from -5 to 5, the shortwave ranges from 0 to 25 mV.

El lado inferior también presenta dos sensores.
Incluye burbuja de nivelación del sensor en el lado superior.
La estimación de la radiación neta se simplifica usando este sensor, sin embargo sin él, se debe de realizar una estimación indirecta usando valores de la radiación global y ecuaciones aproximadas para estimar los otros componentes de la radiación neta.
