Wide polarization range (50V /

Boosts potentiostat voltage and
current - potentiostat voltage is
multiplied by 10 and current is
multiplied by 10,000 (maximum
voltage 50V, maximum current 25A)
4-terminal measurements essential for accurate measurements of low impedance devices such as
batteries and fuel cells.
10uHz - 10kHz frequency range allows impedance characterisation of cells (series resistance,
diffusion, electrode
investigations, etc.)
Pulse techniques - for analysis of series resistance components in energy sources.
Remote control from the
potentiostat – automatic switch on and
off during the experiment is
controlled by the potentiostat.
For 1470 and 1480, the 14701A option must be fitted for the booster to
operate correctly. In the case of
1280B, 1285, 1287, these instrument need to have the remote
control board fitted. This board
is now fitted as standard but for all older units, a retrofit will be
required. The unit will need to
be returned to service for this to be fitted.
The 1290 is not compatible
with 1286, 1284, 1280A and 1287s older than mod strike A10 (mid-1995)
